Katie Elliott, Staff Reporter
Katie is currently a Senior at VHHS. This is her first year being on the Scratching Post staff. When she's not writing articles, she's probably writing some kind of poem or story. She enjoys writing almost as much as sleeping. She plans to become a High School English teacher in the future, and hopes to continue writing outside of that. She is in Wind Ensemble (which has been a goal of her’s since 7th grade) and Pep Band; she plays the French Horn and the Mellophone. Her favorite musical artist is Nick Jonas (which is no surprise to anyone who knows her). She is a Senior Leader as well as a major caffeine addict. When she's not at school, she's with her dog, Gunner. She also has an older sister (20) that annoys her to no end, but has impacted her life more than anyone else she knows. Katie doesn't exactly have a million friends, but she's happy with the amazing people she has. She is excited for all of the new things she's going to learn this year as well as all of the exciting experiences that come with wrapping up her high school career.
