Having just experienced a breakthrough in his flourishing career, Chase Pauza has recently been recognized as a professional BMX biker with a sponsorship from Monster Energy. It all started when he was 11 years old, and started riding a bike as a hobby.

Chase started riding a BMX bike when he turned 11. His main focus was racing – a sprint like activity that took place on various ramps, tracks, and parks. During his time racing, he started to learn the fundamentals of BMX. He said, “racing really helped lay the groundwork for being able to do harder and more complex tricks later on.” After a few years of racing, he simply got bored and wanted to try something else. It wasn’t soon before he was practicing intricate BMX flip tricks – the very ones that can leave an entire audience in awe. Around the age of 12, Chase got serious about learning these tricks.

In the beginning, it was tough to pick up and learn some of these maneuvers. “Some tricks I would land in a half hour, and others in a month, he said” Behind the scenes, Pauza would be practicing every day. Another hard part of the process is dealing with setbacks. Pauza states that he has been injured many times, with the worst incident being a broken leg. He said, “I was out of comission for 6 months. I couldn’t practice or compete, and that was hard for me.” Thankfully, Pauza has been able to get back on his bike, pick up where he left off.

Pauza competes in many competitions around the country. He started competing at small events, and would gain exposure to the industry. Due to his hard work, he has been able to show off his skills, and make connections with professional bikers, as well as big time companies. Fast forward to today, and Chase competes with real professionals at extremely large events. He has also been recognized by Monster Energy, and received a sponsorship from them. “Monster sends me free drinks and clothing, and they also allow me to compete in professional competitions with real money prizes.”

Being only 17 years of age, Pauza has accomplished lots of amazing things with his biking. He accredits lots of his success to his supportive family and friends. He said, “My dad always comes to watch me practice, and he is at every one of my competitions. He has supported me all the way, and that drives me to always do my best.” Pauza also states that his passion for BMX helps him stay motivated even when there are setbacks. He loves what he does, and that will always keep him moving forward.

Currently, Pauza is competing at more events to further his career in BMX. April 18th marked his latest professional competition, and he took the first place spot. This competition took place in Toronto, Canada, and was an invitational event. Chase qualified to compete due to his current status. His distinguished achievements have placed him amongst some of the most serious bikers out there, and his future in the industry is looking bright. Chase Pauza’s dedication is shown through his BMX biking – and although he has already come this far – it is only the beginning.
