I woke up one morning and decided to turn my foundation bottle around, and I was flabbergasted by the number of ingredients that were put into this small five ounce bottle. I was so appalled that I have completely changed my routine since.
I was finally on a search to find vegan and cruelty-free makeup. Being vegan is a way to have a huge, positive impact on the environment. A vegan diet only consist of plant-based foods, which excludes eggs, dairy, meat, and fish products. Veganism stretches beyond just the food you eat, but it also deals with the clothes you wear and the products you use.

However, there are so many other ways that you can test makeup; it doesn’t need to be tested on animals in order to find the best formula. Looking into vegan makeup, I noticed a multitude of improvements: it is cleaner and fresher for the skin and is made with natural ingredients. By buying products that are cruelty-free, and/or vegan, one can personally positively impact the environment and try to put an end to animal abuse.
Vegan makeup isn’t the easiest thing to find in the market, but I have spent a long time searching for the best products around. Some of my favorite brands include Inika Adorn, Milana, and Mineral Fusion.
Inika is is quite expensive: all of their products range between 29-65 dollars; but the quality is amazing. Another higher end brand is Adorn cosmetics, which has been always been vegan and they are dedicated to producing the best vegan products around. Their products are not only beneficial for the animals, but also beneficial for the environment.
However, since the aforementioned products are quite expensive, there are great alternatives. Take Milani, which is a very affordable brand that has amazing quality. All of the products ranging from 5-10 dollars. You’re able to find this brand at any local drugstore around. Another one that I found to be excellent in quality is known as Mineral Fusion. Some people fear that vegan makeup isn’t as pigmented and long lasting, but that is false, and this brand will prove you wrong by the quality they’re giving you.
