How I’m going to feel after I’m done with school. Got from wallpaperpulse.com.

Next year is not going to be easy; I know that is cliché, but it’s true. I’ve heard that senior year is so easy, it’s a blow off year after you choose your college, but that’s not going to be me. Every day of junior year I worked my butt off to get to college, so I won’t give up a chance to go to my dream school because it is the last year of high school. Here are five goals that I want to achieve to make the best of my senior year:

Do my college apps early

I know that every senior says they’re going to do college apps during junior year, but a lot of the seniors end up doing apps close to the deadline. According to the Huffington Post, you need to get start your college apps early because “you’ll need plenty of time to refine your essays, gather letters of recommendation and finalize your activity list and resume.”

Keep grades up

Seniors are known to slack off after they get in and choose their college I don’t want to do this for two reasons. One, I want to exempt from finals. This is important to me because if I’m given the opportunity to exempt, why not try my hardest. Two, colleges can review your application if your grades drop and if I get into my dream school, and they decide to not take me after I got in, I would not be happy.

Avoid senioritis

If you don’t know what senioritis is, according to Huffington Post, it is “a slide in motivation [in] classroom performance,” which means that you really don’t care about school, It usually starts towards the end of the year. This is obvious of course I want to avoid senioritis, but it is true. When I think the end is near, I tend to slack off, which would not be good in achieving any

of my goals.

Stay involved

If you didn’t know, I am very involved. I am a part of Backlight, StuCo, First Class, and Interact. All these clubs mean a lot to me and help make me a better person and student, and if I slack off on my extracurriculars, I don’t think I will do as well in school because I won’t have a motivator.

Survive it

Senior year is going to be a hard year that presents lots of challenges and choices that will affect the rest of my life. This is going to make senior year a lot more stressful, but I think that I can survive it. Well the class of 2017 did, I think?
