The Proposal: While waiting for their 3 hour reservation in the Walnut room at Macy’s, Nick asked her to go skating at millennium park since she used to figure skate. When there, he asked a woman to take their picture. Knowing that Mrs. Brilowski would want good photos of this moment, he tried to scope out the best photo taker on the ice. Once a young girl had his phone in hand, they started to scoot back to get in frame. Out of the corner of her eye Mrs. Brilowski saw Nick go down and thought he fell, in actuality he was down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage! And lucky for them, the photographer quickly caught on to what was happening and took really amazing photos of the moment.

Babies name’s: Katherine Evelyn Chapman and William Merry Chapman. Evelyn is Mrs. Chapman’s grandmother’s name and also her mother’s middle name. William, or Liam, is a family name passed down 4 generations.  

Birth date: June 8th, 2015

Heights and weights: Kate was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 21 in long.  Liam was 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5 in long.  (That’s a total of 15 lbs 5 oz!)

Baby Name and sibling: Elizabeth Katherine Clifford. Elizabeth is Mr. Clifford’s wife’s middle name. Elizabeth  also has an older brother named Benjamin.

Birth date: July 4th, 2015

Height and weight:  6 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 in long.

Her biggest milestone so far: Practicing sitting up and smiling at her brother.

Mr. Clifford’s favorite moment with Elizabeth so far: “When I held her for the first time and when she smiled for the first time.”

Teacher: Mrs. Baranyk

Baby name: Olivia (Olive) Fern Baranyk. Fern was her grandmother’s name. Mrs. Baranyk say’s “she was smart, independent, and extremely strong… all qualities we wish her” [Olive].

Birth name: August 20, 2015.

Height and weight: 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.5 in. long

Her biggest milestone so far: She surpassed her birth weight at 5 days old, which is an impressive milestone because babies normally lose 10% of their birth weight after a few days!

Mrs. Baranyk’s favorite moment with Olive so far: “She’s a pretty snuggly baby. I love them all.”

Baby Name and siblings:  Isaac Steven Larson, his first name stemming from the story in Genesis 21:1-7 and his middle name being a tradition passed down from Mrs. Larson’s husband’s family. Typically for them, sons take the father’s first name as his middle name. Isaac has three siblings,  Joshua who is 16, Rachel who is 14, and Sarah who is 12.

His biggest milestone so far: He can roll over from his belly to his back and is starting to imitate sounds.

How they first met: Through mutual friends.

How long they dated before marriage: About a year and a half

The Proposal: Over spring break the two went on a vacation to Hawaii. While there and in front of hundreds of people at a luau, he got down on one knee and popped the question!

Venue: Ingleside, Illinois

Honeymoon destination: They two will vacation in Costa Rica during break since Mrs. Fredrick is a teacher!
